Bridge to Justice’s mission is to “bridge the gap” by assisting individuals who do not qualify for free legal services through Boulder County Legal Services or other legal aid providers but who cannot afford a private attorney.  Please note: We do not accept walk-ins; an appointment is required.

We provide services to clients based on the 2023 HUD Low Income Guidelines, as outlined on the right. Clients cannot have assets greater than the income cap, excluding primary residence and primary vehicle. We provide limited-scope, or "unbundled" legal services, or full-scope representation.

Please note, we have changed our rates as of September 22, 2020. For those who qualify, we charge a reduced rate for our representation:

For the first bracket (those who earn between 0% and 50% of the Area Median Income in Boulder County), we charge $125 per hour for out-of-court services, in-court services, and mediation services.

For the second bracket (those who earn between 50% to 80% of Area Median Income in Boulder County), we charge $145 per hour for out-of-court services, in-court services, and mediation services.

For all clients, travel time is billed at $60 per hour and work performed by a paralegal is billed at $60 per hour.
